Our large communal dining room is located on the ground Floor of Lilliput House care home adjacent to one of our large lifts. Careful attention has been paid to make each area comfortable and distinctive with specially chosen fabrics and colours. Furniture is arranged in small groups just as it would in the home. All of our care home dining room chairs come with skis for easy maneuverability and arms that are integral to the chair, offering increased support for residents. Our tables are designed with wheelchair accessability in mind.
Age can have an impact on relationships with food and eating, habits, which makes it incredibly important to create positive mealtime experiences for care home residents that are living with dementia. Without prompting, people living with us may struggle to keep regular mealtimes, have difficulty communicating or recognising hunger or thirst, and could also find it difficult to recognise or use cutlery or crockery. We have specially designed dining products on hand, and staff are always avialable to assist at mealtime.
