As the weather begins to warm, the flowers start to bloom, and the birds visit our gardens again, busy building their nests, we’ve got an action-packed agenda for all our residents, staff and families this month. Of course, one of the main highlights will be the celebration of the coronation of His Majesty King Charles III and Her Majesty, The Queen Consort, Camilla.
May 3rd: Outing to Poole Quay

What? We’ll be enjoying the fresh sea air as we head over to Poole Quay to enjoy the boats and take in the views before stopping for tea and cake along the promenade.
May 5th: Meet our new caring canine friends

What? Our new therapy dog duo, Buddy and Issy, will be meeting residents today, both in the communal areas and in their own rooms. There will be plenty of time for playing ‘hide the treat’ and, of course, lots of cuddles!
May 6th: Coronation Day 14:00-17:00

What? Along with the rest of the country, we’ll be celebrating the coronation of King Charles and Queen Camilla. So, look out for lots of fun today as we transform Lilliput House into ‘Lilliput Inn’ and host our very own right royal knees-up!
March 16th: Trip to Salterns Marina (weather permitting)
Who? 1:1 resident and staff
What? Sometimes we all need a little bit of a pick-me-up. So, we’ll be on the lookout for that special resident needing a little extra TLC. Our staff will take them out to nearby Salterns Marina for coffee, where they can admire the boats and stunning views towards Brownsea Island whilst greeting other locals along the way.

What? Sit back, relax and enjoy live music entertainment as Alex treats us to a wonderful selection of all-time favourites from the 1960s. Guaranteed to create some singing and reminiscing!
May 16th: 20-piece singing choir

What? An opportunity to listen to some wonderful singing and to get up, dance and really join in – all led by an instructor to keep us in tune!
May 17th: Sharandy birds of prey

What? Today we play host to a stunning collection of owls and a falcon. We’ll hear how their handlers look after them on a daily basis and enjoy a delightful show from the birds – usually across the lounge and into the rooms!
May 18th: Trip to Bournemouth pier

What? An opportunity to visit this Victorian pier with its amazing views across the bay. Take time to enjoy the scenery, watch the world go by and enjoy a delicious ice cream.
May 22nd: Residents meeting

What? Once a month, we ask our residents to come along and give feedback on any aspect of life in the home – from ongoing and future events to menu choices or ways to mark special celebrations. Everyone is welcome. and, of course, there is always tea and cake.
May 30th: Zoolab workshop

What? Learn more about some of the interesting creatures on our planet as we get up close and personal with a variety of different insects, frogs and snakes to touch and handle.
